The Award recognizes a college, university or post-secondary student group that most successfully incorporates the concept of sustainable development into its programs or projects. Sustainable development means understanding society’s demand for socially sensitive, economically viable and environmentally responsible products and manufacturing processes, and acting on that understanding. It is a case of taking action today with tomorrow in mind.
